Little Geckos provides nurturing care for babies and younger children. Big Geckos supports children from around age two through to school. We ensure each child is fully ready before starting our thoughtful transition process from Little Geckos to Big Geckos. Assessing based on physical and emotional needs rather than age ensures each child thrives throughout their time with us. Contact us if you would like help choosing the best fit for your child.
Teachers share information about your child's care, interests and learning through regular conversations and the centre's online system. We currently use Educa where you will be able to create a login and view all learning stories posted by our team about your child. We also welcome questions at any time and will contact you promptly if something needs your attention.
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. We are closed on Public Holidays and also offer a Fees Free Holiday Period over Christmas if required.
We encourage settling-in visits before your child's first full day. These visits help your child become familiar with the teachers, spaces and daily rhythm, while giving you time to share routines, preferences and anything that helps your child feel secure. We do not charge for settling visits, each child will have between 1-3 visits before their first full day.
We work with each family's routines and your child's stage of development. Teachers will talk with you about sleep preferences, nappy care and toileting, then keep you informed as needs and routines change.
Fees depend on your child's age, attendance pattern and eligibility for funding. Eligible children may receive up to 20 Hours ECE. Contact us for the current fee schedule and a clear explanation of what applies to your family.
Availability changes throughout the year and can differ between the two centres. Send us an enquiry with your child's age, preferred start date and required days, and we will confirm current options or explain the waitlist process.
We will provide a centre-specific list before your child starts. Common items include suitable spare clothing, weather-appropriate gear and any personal items agreed with the teaching team. Please label belongings clearly.
Use the Book a Visit form on this website and tell us your child's age, preferred start date and the days you may need. Our team will contact you to arrange a suitable time and answer any initial questions.
Transitions are planned with each family around the individual child’s development, confidence and readiness—not simply their age. When the time is right, our teams work together to make the move from Little Geckos to Big Geckos gradual, familiar and reassuring. We keep parents involved throughout and take the transition at the child’s pace.
